Backstreet's Back - like, all five of them - alright!?
It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since A.J. McLean, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Kevin Ridhardson and Brian Littrell first got together to form the Backstreet Boys in Orlando, Florida in 1993. In just two decades, the guys have sold over 130 million albums worldwide, making them the best-selling boyband in history (take notes, One Direction and The Wanted).
Kevin departed the group after 2005's Never Gone, leaving behind the quartet responsible for 2007's Unbreakable and 2009's This Is Us. But Kevin wasn't easily forgotten; after all, it was the fivesome that was responsible for massive international hits like "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)," "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," "Larger Than Life," and, of course, "I Want It That Way."
All five guys are back together for their 20th anniversary, and it's already been a good year for the guys. In April, they were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in May the guys appeared on "Good Morning America" to perform new music and announce the release date for their new album, In A World Like This, which drops July 30th.
To celebrate all things BSB, A.J., Nick, Howie, Kevin and Brian stopped by iHeartRadio recently, where they let us quiz them on their own 20-year history. Check out Who Knew!? with the Backstreet Boys below.
And on Monday, the Backstreet Boys announced that their new single, title track "In A World Like This" would have it's radio premiere on New York's Z100 on Tuesday.
UPDATE: The guys went ahead and posted the new single online ahead of the radio debut! Check out "In A World Like This" and leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
